The power of III

Summum ius summa iniuria--More law, less justice
--Cicero.

Quote of the Day 1/21

War is in fact the true nurse of executive aggrandizement.

James Madison

Ain't it the truth:

Look what happened with the Executive Branch's power since the War for Southern Independence.  Lincoln, TRoosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, FDR, etc., with every generation more emboldened and proactive executive branch.  Korea, Vietnam, Gulf, Iraq, Afghanistan, numerous smaller ops...but no congressional war declaration (as required by the Constitution) since World War II.

Now any US citizen, deemed arbitrarily by the president as an enemy combatant, can be executed without due process of law.
