The power of III

Summum ius summa iniuria--More law, less justice
--Cicero.

To LEO's and current serving military:

To the men and women currently serving as law enforcement and military:

I remind you that your oath is not to your commanding officer or the President, but to the Constitution.

If you act in defense of the political class at the expense of the people in violation of the Constitution, if you conduct warrantless searches, if you confiscate private property, including firearms, of American citizens, help to arrest and imprison American citizens under the NDAA, help to kill an American citizen (i.e. without due process as guaranteed by the Constitution) arbitrarily declared an enemy combatant by the Executive branch, then you have violated your sacred oath, and have become the teeth and claws of the Beast.

You may gain a paycheck for this work, but what will you lose?

What is "fighting for freedom"?  It is fighting for freedom from the tyranny of government.

You enforce the law with teamwork and powerful weaponry.  You have the thought or motivation that your efforts are on behalf of law and Justice.

What is the law for?

The only mandate for law (in any human society) is to protect and preserve the life and property of individuals.  Anything else is a distortion of law, and the concept of Justice.

Ponder this:

"I believe in adequate defense at the coastline and nothing else. If a nation comes over here to fight, then we'll fight. The trouble with America is that when the dollar only earns 6 percent over here, then it gets restless and goes overseas to get 100 percent. Then the flag follows the dollar and the soldiers follow the flag.

I wouldn't go to war again as I have done to protect some lousy investment of the bankers. There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket.

"...It may seem odd for me, a military man to adopt such a comparison. Truthfulness compels me to. I spent thirty- three years and four months in active military service as a member of this country's most agile military force, the Marine Corps. I served in all commissioned ranks from Second Lieutenant to Major-General. And during that period, I spent most of my time being a high class muscle- man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the Bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for [i.e. Crony-HM] capitalism.

Ron Paul vs. Bernanke today: Inflation is theft, this is why Americans don't trust government

Ever wonder what a domestic enemy is?

Iowa Democrats flee capital to avoid debate on 2nd Amendment issues

via drudgereport.com

Iowa House Democrats this morning left the Capitol in protest of two gun bills the Republican majority had planned to debate today that critics contend would make the state part of the “Wild, Wild West.”

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy accused House Leader Linda Upmeyer of failing to properly inform legislators about planned debate today on the bills. The short notice hindered Democrats from offering amendments to improve the bills, McCarthy said.

But Upmeyer, R-Garner, shot back this morning that Democrats did have adequate warning, and suggested their flight from the Capitol was an attempt to make a political scene.

“Iowans didn’t send us down here just to do easy stuff,” she said. “The Second Amendment is a question that many Iowans would like placed before them. I don’t know why they’re afraid to have a debate on a subject just because they don’t like the subject. That seems ludicrous to me.”

One bill would alter the state constitution to specifically include gun rights. Another would rewrite the law on “reasonable force” so that a person may use force — including deadly force — against someone who they believe threatens to kill or cause serious injury or who is committing a violent felony.

To the "honorable" Iowa Democrats: Avoid responsibility, avoid reality, avoid the Heller decision and the 14th Amendment, and of course the original intent of the 2nd Amendment.

You'll have to come back eventually, you Progressive collectivist babies.

Austrian School adherent is noticed by Federal Reserve economists (In a good way)

UPDATE at bottom of post.

Senior Vice President Macroeconomic and Monetary Studies Function Federal Reserve Bank of New York Dick Peach has responded to my earlier email:

You are correct that several national home price indices have declined to 2002/early 2003 levels.  Do you think it is possible that home prices are overshooting to the downside?
Also, I was wondering what metric you used to conclude that home prices were overvalued in 2004 and 2005.
Regards
Richard W. Peach

My new response to Mr. Peach:
I didn't use a "metric". That's the key you guys at the Fed, of all places, don't seem to get. I think you fail to understand business cycle theory and your methodology is wrong.
By the Federal Reserve distorting prices through money printing, it's impossible to know what the non-manipulated housing market would look like. There is no "metric" that can tell you. I just knew that at some point you have to slow money printing for a short period for fear of price inflation, which Mr. Bernanke did in the summer of 2008, which crashed the entire damn thing, which I warned about in real time, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here.
My statements have been bold, but they have been correct. I also am on record as seeing the current turnaround well before most. Here's a December post. I have also been warning about a great price inflation that is developing. In all seriousness, since you guys missed the housing bubble, the Great Recession and the turnaround and I have nailed them all in real time, don't you think it is time to have me over for lunch so I can explain why you guys are about to blow the economy up in a price inflation spiral? Or are you happy with your faulty models and what they will do to the country?

UPDATE: Fed economist Richard Peach has graciously invited me to lunch and to give a seminar at the New York Fed.

US District Court upholds California to collect and store DNA information of accused felons, BEFORE conviction

(NaturalNews) For a state that claims to be the nation's most enlightened defender of civil rights, California's regular dismissal of even the most basic constitutional protections is an exercise in hypocrisy -- at a minimum -- and in ideology over rule of law in the worst case.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, the nation's most liberal, ruled recently that California cops can continue collecting DNA samples to put in a national database from everyone they arrest on a felony, even before that suspect has been proven guilty in a court of law and, worse, without a warrant or court order directing them to be collected.

"DNA analysis is an extraordinarily effective tool for law enforcement to identify arrestees, solve past crimes, and exonerate innocent suspects," U.S. District Judge Milan Smith wrote for the three-judge majority. Moreover, the court said the government had a more compelling interest in collecting the genetic information than yet-to-be-convicted suspects did in protecting their privacy, let alone their right to assert they're innocent until proven guilty.

Only a politician can think like this

Sir George Young, leader of the House of Commons, said the proposal to warm a Worcestershire leisure centre with heat from a nearby crematorium was a “groundbreaking scheme”.
He said the Government is considering whether the plan could be duplicated elsewhere in Britain.

“The Government is aware of this particular scheme,” he said. “The Department for Energy and Climate Change will shortly be publishing its heat strategy and this will explore the potential for better recovery and reuse of wasted heat in schemes such as this one.”

He added that he would “die a happier man” if he knew heat from his cremation was warming the waters of a local pool.
